Thanks for this perspective on reading. As a writer, sometimes I wish that I could escape into reading other writers on Substack, but my reading time is relegated to the half hour in bed before falling asleep. My time on the computer in the morning is about creating content and finding readers. How do you balance reading and writing?
There’s so much I WANT to read but like you, I don’t have it make the time. I tend to bounce into Substack periodically throughout the day reading short posts. I rarely dive into long posts or fiction even though I know I should.
There are writers I want to dive into and need to make a commitment to do so.

Not much help am I? 😉
Actually glad to know I'm not alone in this.
Never alone, Judith. We can choose our friends and hold them close. Even here on Substack.
