I hope I can catch up with your live after the fact. It’s too early for me on Australian time and I’m working tomorrow. I will watch your progress with interest and wish you all the best because I know the mountain it is you climb when you set out to write and publish a book. Moving forward you might like to re-organise the beginning of the book because all the explanation of the characters (who readers don’t care about yet, unless they’ve followed your Substack) is what will come up in a sample read. You could have all that at the back. Anyway I will start reading chapter 2 tonight.
That's the one million dollar questiion. I am using the story of my great grandfather Albert Dams who immigrated at 19 from Veronika to MN where he did stay and work on his uncle Bill's homestead before acquiring his own. He died tragically while his children (six) were young at a time when there were no social networks. My plan is to keep going... now that I have records and newspaper articles I can more closely follow his life. It makes me happy. When I get to the end of his life, I will probably self-publish after going to an editor who will probably slice and dice what I have lol. Thx for asking.

I hear you Deb. I can take down the Prologue here and consider adding Chapter 3. Are you in Sydney?
No but same time zone 👍
WooHoo and congratulations!!!
Thanks Colleen! What’s your plan after 63 chapters and counting?
