A Writer's Confession: Navigating the Twists of Storytelling
Writing is as much about rewriting and rethinking as it is about the initial draft.
Hello there! Marylee here, and I'm on a journey to bring you stories of women discovering their strengths as they explore their next chapter.Β
But here's the thing β I'm learning as I go, and sometimes that means making changes. Big ones.
So, let me catch you up:
β’ I started sharing a story, Mirage of Trust... then realized I needed to tell another one first. Oops!
β’ What you've been reading? That's now Book 2. Surprise!
β’ I'm introducing Book 1, Whispers of Echo Canyon, to properly introduce the main characters. (Better late than never, right?)
β’ I've chopped up the existing chapters into bite-sized pieces. Less overwhelming, I hope?
β’ Yes, it's a bit messy. Yes, I'm figuring this out as I go. And yes, I'm nervous about it.
Here's the deal:
1. Book 1, Whispers of Echo Canyon, is coming soon, introducing our heroines.
2. Book 2, Mirage of Trust, is what some of you have already started reading. Right now these chapters are hidden away!
3. Both books will be clearly labelled on the page.
4. Plus, Iβll be sharing posts with you about writing these books. Kind of like an insider's view. Hmmmβ¦ like this message!
I'm learning that writing is as much about rewriting and rethinking as it is about the initial draft. Your patience and support mean the world to me as I navigate this process.
Whether you're a longtime reader or just stumbling upon this now, welcome to our little corner of storytelling chaos. I promise it'll be worth it.
Thanks for bearing with me,
Marylee
